What is a VAT Return?

A VAT return is a report called a VAT3 that businesses send to Revenue to show:

How much VAT they have charged customers?

How much VAT they have paid on business expenses?

Whether they owe VAT or are due a refund?

In simple terms, it’s a way of telling Revenue the difference between VAT you’ve collected and VAT you’ve paid.

If you’ve charged more VAT than you’ve paid, you’ll owe the difference.
If you’ve paid more than you’ve charged, you may be due a refund.

VAT returns are usually filed every two months, depending on your business.

Why VAT Returns Matter

Filing VAT returns correctly and on time is important because it helps you:

Stay compliant with Revenue.

Avoid penalties and interest charges.

Keep your business records accurate and up to date.

But for many business owners, VAT can be confusing and time-consuming.

How I Can Help You

I take the stress out of VAT returns by handling the process for you from start to finish.

This includes:

Reviewing your sales and purchase records.

Calculating what you owe or what you’re owed.

Preparing and filing your VAT return with Revenue.

Making sure everything is accurate and submitted on time.

My goal is to save you time, reduce stress, and make sure you stay fully compliant, so you can focus on running your business.
